We moved from London to Halstead, Essex in 2023. I have found new inspiration in painting and photographing the landscape around me – the big skies, rolling fields, trees and hedgerows. A niggling sense of urgency has crept in to record as much of the remaining landscape as I can. Local Plans for developing and expanding Halstead will eat up much of the surrounding fields if all goes ahead. Here’s a selection of what I’ve done so far.
